Where do you get the design
names from?
The names of the bracelets are names of my
dearest friends daughters. Because I also owe some ideas
and inspiration to them, I wanted to thank them by naming
bracelets after their little girls. I guess that leaves
out my friends who have boys...ah, but don't worry,
as the selection grows I'll use *their* names as design
names as well! Our group met over the internet in 1999,
and has grown to over 35 women. We all love each other
like sisters, it's amazing the friendships you can gain
from a computer!
What makes you a better company?
Well, only you can determine that. Buying on
the internet is a scary prospect...I know, I'm an internet
shopper myself. I've been given such bad customer service
in the past, that I've vowed to only offer the finest
customer service that I know. I also know that for every
unhappy customer they tell 10 other people, I don't
want that. I want each customer to be happy and tell
10 people about their GOOD experience!
When you order from me, you get a reply - not automated,
not a form, an actual reply from ME. I provide my address
and phone number when you order to make you feel better
about being able to contact me outside of the internet.
I keep you updated on payment receipts, status of your
order, and I send actual pictures of the bracelet I've
created for you prior to shipping. You'll see what it
looks like and I give you a chance to "yay"
or "nay" it. If you don't like what you see,
I'll change it! You're not working with a computer,
you're working with a human, a mom, a wife, someone
who just wants to give you the best service possible.
That's my promise to you.
How do I determine my bracelet
size?
Measure your wrist around your wrist bone,
take that measurement and add 3/4" - 1 1/2"
to determine the best size bracelet for you.
For instance, my wrist measures 6 1/2":
In the Crystal Collections I wear:
One-Line: 7 1/4"
Two-Line: 7 1/2"
In the Gemstone Collections:
One-Line: 7 1/2"
Two-Line: 7 3/4"
**these are only given as guidelines, only you can determine
what you feel is the best fit**
Sizing
Advice:
If you're ordering
a gift for someone keep these tips in mind..
1) A "standard off the shelf" bracelet from
a store is equivalent to a 7 1/4" in a Charming
Designs bracelet.
2) *Most* women will never wear a bracelet under 7".
Sizes under that are extraordinarily small.
The more lines you add, the more length you'll want
to add. In addition, for the Gemstone bracelets you'll
want to be more generous in adding legth as the bracelet
is very substantial in thickness.
I received my bracelet and
it's the wrong size!
It's no problem! Contact me and I can resize
it for you for a small charge. Each "line"
(name/strand) is $5. So if you have a 2 line mom bracelet,
the charge is $6. And if you don't mind First Class
Mail (i.e. snail mail) then there is absolutely NO additional
charge for shipping! Package it up in a small padded
envelope and mail it to: Charming Designs, 25456 Arroyo
Ct. Caldwell, ID 83607. Please be sure to include a
note in the package about what needs to be done (bigger/smaller
and by how much) and your return address.
How many lines can I have on
the Mom Bracelet?
4 lines maximum. If you have more than 4 children or
have fewer and want fewer lines on the bracelet, consider
using their initials on one, two, or three lines.
Can I have blank lines?
Yes! Many people like to have a 2 or 3 line bracelet
with just one name. The cost is the same for having
letters or no letters as I fill in that space with more
crystals or gemstones, I don't "jip" you there!
I'm not done having kids, but
I want a bracelet!
No problem! Order the bracelet with the lines you want
now. If/when you have more children, send me the bracelet
back with the new name and color and I can add another
line at the "additional line" cost.
What is the best clasp?
The choice of clasp is definitely a personal one. Most
people love the Toggle Clasp because it's extremely
easy to use and put on by yourself. Some women prefer
the Lobster Clasp because they feel it's more secure.
The Toggle Clasp works well for 99% of women who choose
it. I don't know the physics (haha) about it, but there
is about 1 out of every 100 women who have a hard time
wearing the Toggle and keeping it secure. It may be
due to wrist shape or bracelet size (too big). Another
point is that women who have arthritis or have dexterity
problems will hands down prefer the Toggle Clasp. It
doesn't require delicate and small movements to put
on and can be clasped much easier than the Lobster Clasp
for those with problems using their hands. As always,
if you have questions or want to run the situation by
me, feel free to e-mail me :o).
How can your prices be so much
cheaper than other companies?
I am a mom, just like you and I know the value
of a dollar. I know I have much better things to spend
$100-$200 on than on a bracelet! But you're not sacrificing
quality for price! I use the same quality silver, gemstones,
and crystals as others, but I don't up charge the price
500-700% like other companies.
I don't see a style I like
on your site, can I customize?
YES!!!! Please contact me and I will be happy to work
with you on a design or a special gem or color. Generally
speaking, custom designs will only cost a couple of
dollars more per line than the advertised price.
I don't see a color I like,
can you get other colors?
YES!! I post mostly the most popular colors
and some others, but there really is an unending array
of colors I can use. Please contact me!
